Bienvenido al sitio oficial de Achero Mañas, un director de cine español que lleva la mirada artística más allá del rodaje. Con una trayectoria que abarca desde su infancia en Madrid hasta largometrajes premiados internacionalmente, Achero combina cine, fotografía y arte para construir puentes entre realidad y creación.
Un origen marcado por el arte
Nacido el 5 de septiembre de 1966 en Madrid, Achero Mañas creció en los barrios de Carabanchel y La Estrella, en un entorno muy vinculado al teatro, la literatura y las artes plásticas. Desde joven combinó estudios de pintura en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios con formación teatral en Nueva York y experiencias como actor.
De actor a director con voz propia
Tras una primera etapa como intérprete en películas como 1492: La conquista del paraíso o ¡Dispara!, Achero decidió dar un giro creativo y centrarse en la escritura y la dirección. Su primer cortometraje fue Metro (1995), seguido por el premiado Cazadores (1996). En el año 2000 llegó su largometraje de referencia: El Bola, que obtuvo múltiples premios Goya.
Una mirada que trasciende géneros
La filmografía de Achero Mañas se caracteriza por una honestidad creativa, una gran capacidad para la dirección de actores y por ofrecer relatos que conectan con lo emocional, lo social y lo íntimo.
